The igniter is a new type of ignition device that uses the piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric ceramics to ignite. It has the characteristics of stable output voltage, high ignition rate, durability, and novel style. Ceramics are polycrystalline composed of many randomly arranged tiny particles. Even though each small crystal has piezoelectric properties, due to the disordered arrangement of its electric moments, the piezoelectric effects cancel each other out. The whole ceramic has no piezoelectric properties.

The igniter is fixed in the middle of the gas generator. When the vehicle collides and reaches the deflagration condition, the airbag ECU opens the igniter control circuit, and the current passes through the igniter to make the heating wire of the igniter heat up. The resulting pressure and heat penetrate the cartridge, igniting the pressurized charge.

1. Excessive opening of the igniter damper or excessive opening of the chimney baffle will result in excessive air entering the furnace. In this case, the igniter is not easy to ignite.

The treatment method is to reduce the opening of the igniter damper and the opening of the chimney baffle, and then adjust the damper and baffle to the appropriate opening after lighting.

2. When the fuel pressure is greater than the atomization steam pressure, the igniter is not easy to ignite.

1. Routine maintenance: always keep all surfaces clean; when the equipment is stopped, all rotation of the quick-opening blind plate (flange cover) should be lubricated in time according to regulations, and the lead screw of the opening and closing parts should be coated with grease. Other parts should be coated with grease as much as possible. For parts that cannot be greased, 10# or 20# engine oil can be injected.

2. Maintenance during operation

It is recommended that the operator be responsible for the normal maintenance of the equipment; always keep the surface of the equipment clean; monitor the reading of the differential pressure gauge at any time. When the use differential pressure reaches 0, flush the filter element.

3. Inspection cycle

The equipment shall be inspected regularly in strict accordance with the relevant provisions of Chapter 6 of the Capacity Regulations. The equipment shall be inspected and wall thickness measured at least once a year, and the pressure welds of the equipment shall be NDT once every two years. All inspection and test results shall be recorded in the technical file of the equipment. Do not perform maintenance when there is pressure inside the equipment. Maintenance under special circumstances is carried out in strict accordance with Article 122 of the Capacity Regulations.

4. Maintenance during parking.

When the equipment is parked, the liquid in the equipment should be drained; all valves should be closed; the surface of the equipment should be cleaned; all rotating parts should be coated with grease; all equipment should be covered with canvas to prevent dirt from depositing on the surface of the equipment.

The igniter is used to turn on or off the primary circuit of the ignition system according to the ignition signal input by the signal generator, so that the secondary winding of the ignition coil generates ignition high voltage. At present, the internal circuit of the igniter used in automobiles has various forms, but the basic functions are roughly the same, and the circuit is also composed of corresponding functional circuits.
